E.g. John has a 2009 Honda Accord on Comprehensive Cover. He's going on a holiday for a month and the car will be parked in his garage until he returns. John got in touch with AA Insurance, and reduced his cover from Comprehensive to Third Party, Fire and Theft. This meant that his car was still insured if it was damaged as the result of fire, or stolen. John just didn't have cover if there was accidental damage to the car (while driving) and needed to be repaired. But that suited John just fine as he just wanted to make sure that his car was insured in case it was stolen while he was away, and he had a small reduction in his fortnightly premium. When J ohn returned from his holiday, he got in touch with AA Insurance again - and we discussed his options with him. John decided to increase his cover to Comprehensive. This meant a small increase in his fortnightly premium for John - but he's now back to the same level of cover before his holiday.
