No - our vehicle policies don't cover any loss, cost or liability when your vehicle is racing or being tested for racing of any kind including pace-making, trials, tests, demonstrations or similar events. We're also unable to cover you if you're driving on any track, circuit, speedway, racing arena or any other similar surface or location, unless it forms part of a driver training or handling course where the course is delivered by a professional driving instructor.
You can find a more detailed list of what is and isn't covered in your policy document, under the section 'What you are not covered for', under 'Your vehicle being used for certain activities'.
The only exception to this is if you have our comprehensive classic vehicle insurance. With this policy type, we'll cover your vehicle when you take part in rallies and time trials as long as they are:
- held on roads open to the public at the time of the time trial or rally
- organised by a recognised official vehicle club.
You can find this information in your policy document, under the section 'Standard benefits - cover automatically included', under 'Rallies and time trials'.
