Yes. As part of your claim, you’re welcome to obtain your own quotes and submit them to be reviewed by your Customer Manager.
As part of our processes, we may also require our own suppliers to provide us with quotes to repair the damage to your home. If you are submitting your own quote, we may compare it against our quotes to ensure any proposed settlement amount is an accurate reflection of the cost to repair your home to the reinstatement condition.
In some cases, there can be differences in quotes, often because of different suggestions for the method of repair, scope of what needs to be repaired, builders’ individual cost of materials, and so on. If it’s found that quotes are different due to work being missed, we will review and where necessary, adjust settlements accordingly. Throughout your claim, we will always work with you to reach a fair settlement so you can repair the damage to your home.
